Canvas Fractal
Around Christmas, my wife took me into Micheal’s where I found a set of three 6″x6″ canvas panels. Wasn’t sure what to do with them until one day I thought to do one my “fractal” doodles on one.
I wasn’t unpleased with the results.

Hahn's Frest Toast Coffee
The other day Jenny and I were out running errands. One of our stops was for coffee at our favorite roaster (and pork product smoker), Hahn’s Pork and Beans for some of our favorite Pumpkin Pie Coffee. The counter at the checkout has all of their roasted coffees in glass jars on display. One of the jars contained this french toast roast and it smelled so good that I had to take a pound home. It does not disappoint.
The coffee is pretty mild, as are most flavored coffees. The flavor, though, is unlike anyother I have tasted. The first sip gives you the taste of bread dipped in egg, milk and cinnamon. I was amazed at the flavor, it actually tasted of bread dipped in batter. That is followed by maple syrup and butter, both very rich and distinctive. Again, it was like taking a bite of french toast.
I wouldn’t want this everyday. It is too rich to have that often however, as a treat now and then, it is awesome.

Another fractal for Fractal Friday. I was unsure of the direction this one was taking until I decided to break away from the main body and start a new section in the corner. I did a little bit, looked up and said to myself, “Hey, it’s a moon.” That’s when Obi Wan said, “That’s no moon. It’s a space station!”
Yeah, I’m a geek.

Bend Over #1

Bend Over #2
Yup, still angry…and hurt and sore (in more than one way) and disappointed, etc, etc, etc.
My editorial board and I could not decide which one we liked best, so the decision was to post them both. The quality here sucks. I switched my scanner to upload to my Apple and the settings are driving me nuts and the images look like sh*t, which is also pissing me off. My apologies there.

Snow Shoes
Today we had our first real snowfall and the shoes went for their first run in the snow. The tempurature was pleasant compared to the last few days, so I thought a run in the snow would be nice. I went for about 5 miles along my regular route on the trail that runs nearby. The snow was the kind that is wet and heavy and sticks to the tree branches in that really cool way.

@nathanbowers called this type of doodle a fractal, so I’m going with it. I may or may not stay with the Fractal Friday theme. I called this one “844″ because the clock read 8:44 a.m. when I looked up after finishing it.
